We are a manufacturing firm who is preparing for ISO 9001 certification. Before we continue with the written requirements, the decision was made to get a clear picture of where we are from a quality standpoint. This is to be in the form of graphs, tables, etc. We have in place, measurements that fulfill ISO requirements, however, senior management now wants these measurements to be put in the form of tables and graphs so we can visually identify trends. The problem is I don't know what is reasonable and practical and do not want to do trend analysis for the sake of trend analysis--I want it to be of value and also move the company forward. Any suggestions as to where I might get some information on trend analysis and what makes sense to measure??
