Quality Digest

We are planning on implementing SPC in the near future. Eventhough we make mold equipment (no more than 72 at a time), we plan on primarily using SPC for tracking the life of the mold equipment. For example: measure and track crucial control points as compared to the quantity of articles produced with the molds. This will give us valuable information pertaining to the maintenance of the mold equipment and when we need to produce a back-up set of molds. My questions are: Where do we start? and Does a product exist that is geared toward the mainenance of equipment rather than production?
