As I was perusing my company's documents, I came across the Supply Survey form that we send to our suppliers prior to the initial, on site audit. Imagine my chargrin when I opened it and found out that it was 32 pages long! The same day, I received a Survey Form from one of our customers and it was 35 pages long!
My previous employer was ISO-9002 registered while my current employer is QS-9000 registered. I remember supplier surveys of around 10 to 15 pages (under ISO) and wonder if the move up to QS is really worth another 20 pages.
Do any of this boards readers have any copies of their company's supplier survey that they can forward to me for comparison? Or, is there a web site (or sites) where one can go to get a feel for 'best of breed' practices when it comes to supplier audits?
