We are looking to replace our current QMS software (QSI System 9000 based in Lotus Notes)and would appreciate some reviews from users of other QMS software (Harrington H-QMS, Proquis, EtQ, the Lean Machine or others).
One of the better sources I found for measurement analysis on attribute gages is in "The Desk Reference of Statistical Quality Methods" by Mark Crossley
Setting up a Gage R&R for any type gage is basically the same. All require a statistical study that is structured to use an appropriate number of items, for an appropriate number of tests.

One source I found to help is:
http://www.minitab.com/resources/tutorial/gage/
There are likely other sources also, but this one looked to be comprehensive enough to help ensure a proper Gage R&R, and simple enough to use.
Hope this helps.

The Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) book of the QS9000 series offers a section (6 pages) on attribute gage study.
