ISO 9001:2000 clause 8.3 requires that records of the nature of nonconformances and actions taken shall be maintained.
We have times where someone intiates an NCR, but upon review it is agreed that the nonconformance is acceptable as is. Unfortunately, in our system you can't simply cancel the NCR. Are you still required to state a root cause and corrective action? If not, what do you write on the NCR?
