I'm writing an essay on the ISO standards, and I'm looking for a really good source (book, article, magazine, website, etc.) that gives a detailed description of the history of the creation, development, and other general information on the International Organization for Standardization. I've already visited iso.org; however, I'm looking for something with a little more information.
Please let me know if anyone can help.

I've found that there are a number of authors who provide what works for them, however, I've never found anything that was a "one size fits all" charter. I have a template I use in MS Word that I developed for the teams I work with. It was developed by reviewing samples from other teams I've served on, reviewing authors' suggested templates, and comparing the needs of my customer. From there, I develop something in Word that captures the headings and is fun at the same time.
I currently use a template that has the information I consider essential and tailor the template for the specific team's needs and objectives.
Hope this is helpful. Feel free to e-mail if I may be of further assistance.

I think I have something that will help you. It is chapter 19 of a book I authored titled, "The Facilitator and Team Leader Handbook." Unfortunately, I do not have it on Microsoft Word but will fax it to you if you e-mail me your fax number. My e-mail address is don@qci-intl.com
