My company is struggling with ISO 9001:2000 SEC. 7.6 "The organization shall determine the monitoring and measurement to be undertaken and the monitoring and measuring devices needed to provide evidence of conformity of product to determined requirements (see 7.2.1)."
Does this clause only relate to product out the door (i.e. external customers requirements)? Or does it also relate to internal process outputs (products) and internal customer requirements? If it is interpreted, as both, then 7.6 compliance could become very labor intense to control and costly to maintain.
