In response to June's article 'The Elephant in the Operating Room,' you have to remember that doctors are trained to ignore quackery and unproven methodology. They prefer to stay in the realm of fact and hard data. It would be unethical of them to follow an unproven initiative [Six Sigma] that doesn't even have a universally accepted standard or criteria. Does anybody have any comments?
