Dear Six Sigma Expert -

Did Six Sigma generate/dovetail from Dorian Shainin's Red X-Strategies?

There is a tremendous amount of similiarity between Shainin and Six Sigma.
(i.e.: apprentice = greenbelt, journeyman = blackbelt, Master Statistical
Engineer = Master Black Belt, Sponsor = Champion, etc.). Dorian's Red X
principles (DOE), I believe, were taught at Motorola before Six Sigma was
born. Can you validate that?
