I work in a tel-co, that recently got ISO 9001 certified.
My background is from customer service, as a line manager.
During the process of certification, I have taken part in documenting processes and workflows, as well as writing procedures for handling non-conformances, our quality handbook and other ad-hoc tasks. Recently it has been suggested that I take over responsibility for keeping our QMS up-to-date, along with arranging and performing internal audits.
I am due to go on a Lead Auditor training i January.
Any suggestions on how I might get an idea of what the assignment may entail? Of course, asking my boss is an option - but he is away for the next 3 weeks and I would like to get started...
