When do you use Cpk and Ppk? We use 30 pcs. samples for testing products. Some of our people say you must use Ppk for evaluations, some say Cpk. Which is right?

INITIAL POSTING AND PYZDEK'S RESPONSE John Clay asked Quality Digest: We are being asked to measure defects based on the defect per million Six sigma philosophy. I'm far from versed in Six Sigma, let alone DPMO. I would like to understand formulas, process, expected outcomes or anything that I can get my hands on concerning DPMO.
