We have been using a solution of saturated sodium cloride to check the calibration of our mid-range refractometers (28-62 degrees). The usage of the instruments requires that we make checks in an environment with a widely varying temperature. (The need for accuracy is quite low as well. ) I have a chart which gives the Brix of saturated sodium cloride solution at 15, 20, 25, & 30 degrees centigrade. (29.9%, 29.6%, 29.2%, & 28.7% respectivily)
THE QUESTION(S):
Is there data available on the brix of saturated sodium cloride solution at temperatures outside of the chart I have?
Does the variablity follow a curve as it appears to when graphed?
Thanks for your assistance.
