For calibration technicians, the long awaited Certified Calibration Technician has now become reality! Finally, the U.S. has a certification for metrology professionals, putting us in company with the UK and Mexico. The CCT is not the final say, it is a beginning, and there will be more development, likely including discipline-specific testing at some point, and hopefully the support positions will have a certification someday also.

If you know a metrology professional, have them register for the next exam to be given in December.....October is the registration deadline. They can get details at their local ASQ chapter.
