Episode Details:

In this episode of Technorazzi Live we will learn the basics about portable coordinate measuring machines (PCMMs). These versatile shop-floor measuring tools provide accurate 3-D measurements of small objects to very large objects.

The broadcast will be coming to you LIVE from FARO's headquarters in Lake Mary, Florida. FARO is a worldwide leader in computer-aided measurement systems and software.

The broadcast will feature FARO's FaroArm Quantum PCMM. During the broadcast we will learn what is common amongst most PCMMs and, of course, what makes the Quantum stand out. The Quantum represents the latest generation of the FaroArm product line and its industry-leading features make it the perfect choice for companies constrained by the limitations of fixed CMMs and lesser quality portable models. It's the ideal tool for completing surface measurements and dimensional calculations to a high degree of precision. It will also perform CAD analysis, inspections, and alignments with ease.

TROUBLESHOOTING VIDEO

1) Go here www.speedtest.net and run a test to the city nearest you. You need a download speed of 500 kbs or better to watch the High Bandwidth, higher-quality video. If you don't, you may need to watch the Low Bandwidth video which should be available for most broadcasts.

2) Make sure you have the latest Adobe Flash plug-in installed. Go to www.adobe.com/go/getflash

3) We almost always supply a low-speed, smaller screen back-up video stream. If you are having problems with the main player, look for a link to an alternate player beneath the main player.

4) Some people have reported problems watching videos over wireless connections, reporting that the problem goes away after switching to a wired connection. If you are wireless, try switching to a wired connection if possible.

5) Remember that each computer AT YOUR LOCATION will be using 300kbs -500kbs in bandwidth while watching the live video. So if you have too many computers at one location trying to stream the broadcast you may exceed the bandwidth of your incoming connection. If you plan to have multiple people at your location watch the broadcast, it would be best to have them watch on one computer.

6) If you still can't watch our videos, then you are most likely behind a firewall and will have to talk to your IT person.
